Frequently Asked Questions

We're the country's oldest full-service prescription advocacy company. Since 2002, we've helped over 200,000 people save more than $1 billion on prescription medications by getting them enrolled in pharmaceutical company patient assistance programs.

We charge a fee for our advocacy services while the medications themselves come free from the pharmaceutical companies.

  • Submitting all paperwork to patient assistance programs
  • Tracking your enrollment and managing renewals
  • Live advocate support Monday-Friday, 8am-6pm

We're not government-funded, so membership fees allow us to continue helping people access these life-changing programs.

Yes, our full-service advocacy program includes a one-year contract commitment. This allows us to see your applications through to completion and manage renewals effectively.

The $10 eligibility evaluation has no contract or commitment.

3-Day Full Refund Period: You can cancel within 3 days of enrollment for a complete refund, including the administration fee. However, requesting expedited delivery of your member kit waives refund eligibility.

After 3 Days: Our full-service program includes a one-year contract commitment. Early cancellation may be possible in certain qualifying circumstances, which we review on a case-by-case basis.

Standard cancellations require 30 days written notice before your contract renewal date. No partial or mid-term refunds are available.

There are no refunds available for the $10 eligibility checks

Our program works for both generic and brand-name medications. However, with generics, your costs may vary depending on the specific prescription and available programs.

Medications are provided directly from the pharmaceutical companies through their patient assistance programs. We facilitate the application process, but the medications come straight from the manufacturer to you.

Pharmaceutical companies run these programs for various reasons — some say it's genuine commitment to public health, others view it as corporate responsibility or regulatory compliance.

What matters is that these programs exist and can dramatically reduce medication costs for people who qualify. We make accessing them simple and successful.

From enrollment to receiving your first medication shipment typically takes 6-8 weeks.

Your personal advocate will contact you well in advance when it's time to start renewal applications to ensure no gaps in your medication supply.

Most programs provide a 3-month supply at a time with enrollment periods lasting up to one year. Your specific supply schedule depends on the individual pharmaceutical company's program requirements.

Continue taking your current medication until your first shipment arrives from the pharmaceutical company. Don't stop or change anything until you receive your new supply.

Important: Prescription Lifeline facilitates applications but doesn't dispense medications or control shipment timing. We cannot guarantee approval or delivery schedules.
